Technical Stores Coordinator

We are working with Globecast, a leading provider of Satellite Services to the Broadcasting industry. They are currently looking for a technical stores coordinator responsible for organising and overseeing the day to day running of the Globecast equipment storage facility in Tilford Surrey. This is a varied and diverse position working in a fast paced team.

Tasks include loading, unloading and driving vehicles, rigging cables & camera mounts, operational equipment rigging, management of Globecast assets including ordering of stock & supplies and shipping of goods between Globecast sites and/or OB locations. The postholder will also carry out electrical testing of portable appliances (PAT).

Candidate requirements include;

  • Physically able to lift and carry heavy materials/equipment.
  • Full clean Class 1 (3.5 – 7.5 tonnes vehicles) driving licence (C1 or C1+E)
  • Willingness to travel to assist with outside broadcast events, UK and Europe.
  • Flexible approach to working patterns and able to deliver under time pressure.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of broadcast equipment.

Desirable requirements include;

  • Proficiency with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Forklift licence
  • PAT testing certification
  • Health and Safety disciplines and awareness
