Linux Engineer

We are working with one of the world’s fastest growing broadcast services companies; a provider of comprehensive end-to-end media management for international content owners.

They are looking for a Linux Engineer to support their expansive virtualized estate. The position will join a diverse engineering team and will focus on managing the core storage solutions for their content management platform.

This vacancy requires an experienced Linux professional who is able to design, deploy, improve and maintain Storage systems and related applications for the organisation’s DTAP street.

The profile they currently have in mind must have;

  • Expertise in provisioning techniques (For example. Foreman, Puppet, Salt, Ansible)
  • Proficiency with the following:
  • Linux servers mostly RedHat binary compatible.
  • Distributed storage systems like GlusterFS
  • Hardware storage solutions like EMC Unity and underlying technologies
  • Virtualization and orchestration through KVM, RHEV and VMWare
  • Enterprise Applications like DNS/BIND, IPA, GIT, Pulp, Elastic stack etc.
  • Cloud & scaling tools, Load balancers, Consul, Rabbitmq etc.
  • database technology e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, CarbonIP Networking infrastructure & Security Scripting to automate via Bash or Python
  • Ninja CLI and OS skills (e.g. Regex, Cron, Kickstart, repository maintenance etc.)
  • Owning logging and monitoring systems (e.g. Elastic Stack, Zabbix, Nagios)

This is an excellent step for a Linux Engineer interested in taking ownership of business critical infrastructure for a thriving media provider. The role offers a salary between €70 – €85k (dependant on experience) as well as a compelling benefits package.
